Objective: To enhance economic resilience, financial empowerment by expanding financial choices and promoting inclusive economic development, particularly for women youth and children.

Key Areas:

• Microfinancing and Cooperatives: Strengthen access to financial services through microfinance programs that leverage on microfinance models, Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) to provide women and youth with financial resources to start businesses, invest in education, or improve their livelihoods. These financial tools will expand financial choices, enabling individuals to access savings, credit, and insurance services increasing their financial independence
• Women’s Economic Empowerment: Focus on gender-responsive financial programs that empower women economically. Focusing on empowering women through financial literacy training, entrepreneurship support, access to credit, entrepreneurship training and business management to increase women’s access to economic opportunities and decision-making roles. Advocate for women’s economic rights and equal opportunities in financial decision-making while ensuring programs address barriers faced by women in accessing financial services.
• Child and Youth Focused Financial Education – Introduce financial literacy programs for children and youth, teaching money management skills from an early age to foster future economic independence, teaching children and young people about money management and entrepreneurship from an early age. Encourage girls to participate in financial activities, equipping them with skills for future economic independence.
• Alternative Livelihoods and Income Diversification for Women and Youth: Promote alternative livelihoods such as regenerative agriculture, crafts, and small businesses. Develop skill-building programs that enable women and youth to diversify their income streams for greater economic stability.
