Youth Empowerment in Africa

Education and skills development are key to economic empowerment Afri-Core steer actions that increase access to quality education and skill-building opportunities, particularly for young women and girls. Activities will include promoting STEM and SPORTS education, vocational training in areas such as agriculture, entrepreneurship, and life skills, equipping women and youth with the tools needed for economic independence. Leadership development programs to equip youth with employable skills and empower them to participate in decision-making processes within their communities.

Objective: To promote access to quality education, build skills, and empower young people, with a special focus on women and girls.

Key Areas:

STEM and Sports for Children: Encourage children’s participation in STEM education and sports, particularly for girls. Foster environments where girls can excel in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and athletics.
Youth Skill Development: Equip young people with the skills necessary for employment and entrepreneurship, including technical skills, agricultural training, and digital literacy. Ensure gender-sensitive approaches that consider the unique needs of young women and girls.
Leadership and Empowerment Programs: Support initiatives that promote leadership among women and youth, empowering them to participate in governance and decision-making processes. Advocate for gender equality in leadership roles within communities and organizations
